Hey fans!
As we say in Central Europe, the game is in the oven and it's already cooking.
Last week, we saw the final production sheets head to print. They ended up containing an incredible 800 cards (including the German version and a brand new solo-tandem expansion), 10 unique boards and 15 different boxes.
We are absolutely blown away by the result. This is your doing as much as ours. Together we built something robust and grandiose that, we dare say, has no equal among football board games. And rather than just vaguely talking about it like Arne at a press conference, here are some nice previews:

🤌 Little reminder: 340 of those cards were created during the campaign because of you. Entirely off-plan, driven by your input and enthusiasm. We delivered every single one.
That's why the last few months have been seriously demanding. We had to prepare content we never originally accounted for, on time. It was worth every minute. It is almost unbelievable that we are still more or less on schedule. The game should be printed by the end of May. We are practically counting the days until we finally see it in person.

🚚 On the shipping front, we are very happy to announce that we are currently in the onboarding phase with the strongest possible partners. If they were Sunday Manager players, they'd all have legend status. These are companies that have been handling fulfillment reliably for over a decade. We're talking about Quartermaster Logistics from the USA, GamesQuest from the UK, and Let's Play Games from Australia. We believe we've secured the best possible delivery experience for our backers.
One advantage of printing in Europe (rather than China) is that the moment production wraps, we can pick up the games and start fulfillment right away. Shorter supply chain, smaller carbon footprint.
Regarding shipping costs, we had planned to confirm the final prices in April. However, given the rapidly shifting global situation with oil, our partners strongly advised us to wait until delivery is imminent, meaning now in May.
A special long-distance thank you goes to the Nobel Peace Prize winner, who is absolutely not making our lives easier. Fuel prices are currently climbing like United's form under Carrick. We are genuinely upset about this, because it looks like our original rough estimates from autumn 2025 are from a world that no longer exists, and will need to be adjusted by a few percent due to fuel surcharges that every single carrier is currently applying.
😬 We're talking roughly 3-5 euros per person. Some of you are probably thinking that's a symbolic amount, hardly worth mentioning, let alone a full paragraph in an update, but it bothers us. Because while it isn't much, it is more than we originally estimated.
So... we've decided to cover half of these additional costs ourselves 💪
What matters most is that the project got off the ground. We believe that together we've created something excellent, that you'll love playing it, and that it will show in the reviews. We are on a good path to making Sunday Manager a permanent fixture in football culture, and maybe one day, a cult classic.

Hello, fellow managers!
Great news, the printing plates are warming up on the sidelines. Next week, we officially move into the production phase. Sunday Manager is about to be born.
Better Than Expected ⭐
The past few weeks since the last update have been intense in the best possible way. We’ve spent dozens of hours refining and polishing every part of the game. And now we can say this with the calm confidence of José Mourinho: this baby is going to be far better than we expected back in September. You are about to get the Special One.
To give you a better view of what’s coming, here are some of the improvements we pushed beyond the original plan:
• EVERY SINGLE card artwork and the entire iconography system have been remastered and fine-tuned
• Player stories have been deepened and polished
• The box has been slightly enlarged so it can comfortably fit all expansions (because little things matter)
• Each of the 4 manager boards now has not only a unique perk, but also its own artwork, color identity, and atmosphere
• 3-player game rules have been significantly improved and balanced
• A completely new Side Quest system, which received standing ovations during testing
• Injury healing rules have been reworked, along with a new club achievement: "Fan Shop Launch"
• A "Super Quick Play Setup" for new players, allowing you to understand the game and start playing in about 10 minutes
• A new mode has been designed, successfully tested, and added: 2 players vs 2 artificial clubs (deck-driven opponents, requires Solo expansion)

Delivery still on track 🚚
Once we submit the final print files in the coming days, our full focus will shift to shipping. We’re working hard to secure the best possible conditions for you, even in these unpredictable times with rising fuel costs, while staying true to the estimates we shared during the campaign.
BackerKit shipping charges will go live in early April. We’ll have roughly one month to collect shipping payments, so please - this is really important - keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll guide you through everything.

on behalf of our creative duo, we’d like to wish you a fantastic start to 2026. We sincerely hope your year kicked off more successfully than Enzo and Ruben’s.
This will be a World Cup year, but more importantly, it will be the year when a box full of fun, entertainment and amateur football drama finally reaches your doorstep (Sunday Manager, obviously).
We’ve been working intensely behind the scenes, and today we bring you some great news.
⭐ BackerKit Progress -> Almost a full squad
At the time of writing, we have 1,416 confirmed shipping addresses on BackerKit pledge manager, which means 89% of our entire squad is ready to go! ⚽🙌
We’re still waiting for the final 160 latecomers, who haven’t completed their pledge manager yet. To make sure no one gets left on the bench, we’ve moved the order-locking deadline to the second half of January.
👉 Important message for those who haven’t completed their BackerKit survey yet: please do so as soon as possible, ideally right now. You should have received several reminder emails already. Without a delivery address, we simply can’t send you the game.

🏭 Production Update
Everything is running according to plan with our manufacturer. Our production slot is secured, and in March we’ll personally visit the factory to make sure that Ruming’s jersey colours are sharp enough.
🎨 Creating the new players you asked for turned out to be even more fun than we expected. During long winter evenings, as we discovered their unusual personalities and backstories and fine-tuned their qualities, every single one of them grew close to our hearts. They’re all part of the extended football family we’re building together.

Many of the names that made it into the game came directly from your suggestions. And for that, we want to say a big thank you.
🔍 What’s Coming Next
In the next update, you can look forward to a little sneak peek at our brand-new event cards.
We’ll show you some highlights from the Leadership Blunder cards, such as Doping Control and Mascot Misconduct Scandal. Or maybe something from the sabotage deck: Fake Match Tickets, Revenge of the Ex-Coach, or Csáplár’s Trap.
And there’s one major surprise coming as well: ❤️ SIDE QUESTS.
This is a bonus gameplay mechanic that will be included in ALL expansions: Gentlemen Build Legacy will include 6 Side Quest cards, Swaggers Got Skills will add another 6, and the All-Stars on Steroids Bundle will include 4 additional "specials".

We’ve got some cool news to share. Post-campaign work on the Sunday Manager project is going according to plan. We’re finalizing the setup of the Pledge manager on BackerKit, which will open in just a next few days.

Right now, we’re on our way to Spiel Essen, the world’s largest board game fair. This update is literally being written during a nine-hour train ride.
