Hello, fellow managers!

Great news, the printing plates are warming up on the sidelines. Next week, we officially move into the production phase. Sunday Manager is about to be born.

Better Than Expected ⭐ 

The past few weeks since the last update have been intense in the best possible way. We’ve spent dozens of hours refining and polishing every part of the game. And now we can say this with the calm confidence of José Mourinho: this baby is going to be far better than we expected back in September. You are about to get the Special One.

To give you a better view of what’s coming, here are some of the improvements we pushed beyond the original plan:

• EVERY SINGLE card artwork and the entire iconography system have been remastered and fine-tuned
• Player stories have been deepened and polished
• The box has been slightly enlarged so it can comfortably fit all expansions (because little things matter)
• Each of the 4 manager boards now has not only a unique perk, but also its own artwork, color identity, and atmosphere
• 3-player game rules have been significantly improved and balanced
• A completely new Side Quest system, which received standing ovations during testing
• Injury healing rules have been reworked, along with a new club achievement: "Fan Shop Launch"
• A "Super Quick Play Setup" for new players, allowing you to understand the game and start playing in about 10 minutes
• A new mode has been designed, successfully tested, and added: 2 players vs 2 artificial clubs (deck-driven opponents, requires Solo expansion)

Delivery still on track 🚚

Once we submit the final print files in the coming days, our full focus will shift to shipping. We’re working hard to secure the best possible conditions for you, even in these unpredictable times with rising fuel costs, while staying true to the estimates we shared during the campaign.

BackerKit shipping charges will go live in early April. We’ll have roughly one month to collect shipping payments, so please - this is really important - keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll guide you through everything.

on behalf of our creative duo, we’d like to wish you a fantastic start to 2026. We sincerely hope your year kicked off more successfully than Enzo and Ruben’s.

This will be a World Cup year, but more importantly, it will be the year when a box full of fun, entertainment and amateur football drama finally reaches your doorstep (Sunday Manager, obviously).

We’ve been working intensely behind the scenes, and today we bring you some great news.

⭐ BackerKit Progress -> Almost a full squad 

At the time of writing, we have 1,416 confirmed shipping addresses on BackerKit pledge manager, which means 89% of our entire squad is ready to go! ⚽🙌

We’re still waiting for the final 160 latecomers, who haven’t completed their pledge manager yet. To make sure no one gets left on the bench, we’ve moved the order-locking deadline to the second half of January.

👉 Important message for those who haven’t completed their BackerKit survey yet: please do so as soon as possible, ideally right now. You should have received several reminder emails already. Without a delivery address, we simply can’t send you the game.

🏭 Production Update

Everything is running according to plan with our manufacturer. Our production slot is secured, and in March we’ll personally visit the factory to make sure that Ruming’s jersey colours are sharp enough. 

🎨 Creating the new players you asked for turned out to be even more fun than we expected. During long winter evenings, as we discovered their unusual personalities and backstories and fine-tuned their qualities, every single one of them grew close to our hearts. They’re all part of the extended football family we’re building together.

👉 Today, we’re proud to introduce them to you. The full squad is waiting for you at the end of this update. 

Many of the names that made it into the game came directly from your suggestions. And for that, we want to say a big thank you.

🔍 What’s Coming Next

In the next update, you can look forward to a little sneak peek at our brand-new event cards.

We’ll show you some highlights from the Leadership Blunder cards, such as Doping Control and Mascot Misconduct Scandal. Or maybe something from the sabotage deck: Fake Match Tickets, Revenge of the Ex-Coach, or Csáplár’s Trap. 

And there’s one major surprise coming as well: ❤️ SIDE QUESTS. 

This is a bonus gameplay mechanic that will be included in ALL expansions: Gentlemen Build Legacy will include 6 Side Quest cards, Swaggers Got Skills will add another 6, and the All-Stars on Steroids Bundle will include 4 additional "specials".

👉 We will not charge any backer’s card, not a single cent, until shipping prices are fully finalized. Transparency and fairness come first.

We’ve got some cool news to share. Post-campaign work on the Sunday Manager project is going according to plan. We’re finalizing the setup of the Pledge manager on BackerKit, which will open in just a next few days.

You can expect some exciting new stuff and upgrade opportunities (see details below). For everyone who missed the Kickstarter campaign > this is your chance to join the squad through the Late Pledge! ⚽

For all existing backers, we’re calculating individual discounts based on pledge level and early bird status. To be honest, it’s as much work as rebuilding the United squad (or to win anything important with Arsenal).
